KinderACT (ages 3-6)
KinderACT encourages children to move freely, build confidence, and learn in a creative environment. Children use music, props, costumes, and storytelling to create magical worlds from their imaginations. Classes involve music, movement, stories, games and puppets.
Recreation Acting (ages 7-16)
Improv and Team Work combine for an energy filled class all about having fun while learning basic performance skills in a safe and nurturing environment. Theatre Games lead the way to larger than life characters, scene work, and performing in our Spring Production!
Conservatory Acting (ages 8-18)
A deeper level of training in performance, students delve into monologues, scene study, and character work. While maintaining the process based teaching style, students are expected to learn monologues prior to moving on to the next level of study. Student must complete a year of Recreation prior to moving up.
Musical Theatre (ages 4-16)
Musical Theatre classes provide the basics of dance and song to students of all levels. Children will learn jazz and theatre dance as well as group voice, proper warm ups, and theatre techniques
SeniorACT (ages 55+)
Join us each Thursday morning for acting classes for Seniors! We'll explore voice, movement, characters, and scripts in a creative and relaxed environment. The class will culminate in the production of a live radio play.
Advanced Performance Company (APCo)
An audition-only program, “APCo” is comprised of young actors whose skills, commitment, and work ethic allow them to participate in a professional based theatre company. The company is selected through auditions each June, and work with professional directors, choreographers, designers, and guest teachers to produce a main stage production. Members are also invited to participate in special event performances and master classes throughout the year. Students must have completed one year of classes prior to auditioning.
All students registered in Theatre Department classes are given opportunities to perform in class showcases as well as in our spring productions.
Classes run from mid-September to mid-June. There will be no regular weekly classes Thanksgiving Weekend (oct 12-14), Remembrance Day (Nov 11), Christmas Break (Dec 22-Jan 4), March Break (March 2-7), Easter Weekend (April 10-13), Victoria Day Weekend (May 16-18).
